Con la ratificación de entrenador en jefe Gabriel Albornoz, el “Cuervo” comenzó con los trabajos físicos en su casa (por ahora) el Polideportivo “Fray Mamerto Esquiú” bajo las órdenes del nuevo Preparador Físico el Prof. José “Lalo” Zalazar y fueron ratificados los asistentes el catamarqueño Sebastián “Conejo” Andrada y el tucumano Fabricio Espósito.
El plantel fue renovado casi en su totalidad apuntando a un equipo joven, con jugadores rápidos y con experiencia en esta categoría. Entre los que se quedaron están el santafecino Nicolás Franco y el tucumano Juan Cruz Rodríguez, mientras que los que también siguen son los catamarqueños Mateo Codigoni Diaz, Lahuel Silva y se sumaron seis caras nuevas.
Juan Francisco Boffelli (llega de Barrio Parque de Córdoba), Franco Sampaulise (Rivadavia de Mendoza); Exequiel Martínez (llega de Sarmiento de Chaco), Renzo Giacone (Florentino Ameghino de Villa María – Cba.), Juan Cruz Tulian (Barrio Parque de Córdoba) y Leonel Kolano (proveniente de Independiente de Avellaneda), se sumaron a los entrenamientos de cara a lo que será la segunda temporada del equipo catamarqueño en la Liga Argentina de Básquet.
Todavía faltaría completar la ficha de un interno Sub21, del cual todavía no se tiene certeza quien será, pero se trabaja en varios nombres pensando en cumplimentar un plantel joven y con aspiraciones de mejorar lo hecho el año pasado.
Entre los que se quedaron también trabajan a la par del plantel Ignacio “Nacho” Solohaga, los juveniles, Renato Aragón Malak, Jair Yapura, Franco Andrada entre otros para seguir afianzando el grupo y el trabajo.
Por otra parte, se encuentra muy avanzado el trabajo en el nuevo estadio del club, en el Barrio Achachay, en el que el “Cuervo” piensa jugar de local, con capacidad para 750 personas, piso de última generación y todas las comodidades, un “sueño” que esperó 93 años y que hoy parece llegar a ser una realidad.
