El León cerró la fase de grupos de la Región Centro como uno de los dos mejores equipos junto a Sarmiento de La Banda.
Este domingo, en un verdadero partidazo, Villa Cubas venció a San Martín de El Bañado 5 a 4 por la 6ta y última fecha de la fase de grupos. Thomas Monterubianesi, Juan Trejo, Jonathan Trejo, Ronald Tapia y Lucas Romero convirtieron los cinco tantos del equipo del altiplano, mientras que Gabriel Cano, Facundo Villafañe, Franco Merigo de penal y Juan Cruz Tapia marcaron para los chacareros.
El triunfo permitió que Villa Cubas alcance las 16 unidades en la zona y, quede, junto a Sarmiento de La Banda, como los dos equipos con mayor cantidad de puntos sumados en la fase de grupos en la Región Centro.
Esta performance ha permitido que el León clasifique directamente a la 3ra fase del Torneo Regional (8vos de final), donde aguardará por su rival, contra el cual tendrá la ventaja de definir como local en la serie.
La 3ra fase se disputará el sábado16 / domingo 17 de diciembre (partidos de IDA) y el miércoles 20 / jueves 21 de diciembre (partidos de VUELTA).
